1.Have a healthy and balanced diet
Keeping a healthy diet may help boost your immune system to help fight COVID-19 and it is getting colder and is the Flu season
Include lots of fruits and vegetables, healthy fats, whole grain and healthy protein in your daily diet.
Don’t forget to keep yourself hydrated throughout the day and avoid taking in too much caffeine from coffee or black tea.

2. Stay Active for Healthy Bodies
Staying active can be as simple as taking a short walk around your backyard, gardening, cleaning your home environment, knitting and cooking.
Keep your body flexible by stretching or doing yoga first thing in the morning when you wake up.

Having a daily routine is important to keep you stay active, strong and healthy during self-isolation.

Being mindful in what you do and pay attention to the present moment will help cultivate your sense of being.
The practice of mindfulness has been proven to help overcome anxiety, stress and loneliness.
You can incorporate mindfulness into everything you do by taking the time to eat your meals without any distraction, sit down properly to eat and enjoy your foods.
Breathe slowly and extend your breaths on exhalation can help calm your parasympathetic nervous system and cultivate a sense of inner peace.

Notice how you breathe a bit faster when you’re nervous. Try to slow your breath down and count your breath from one to five to calm your mind.
When your emotions are rising, and getting out of control, acknowledge them without reaction.
Express your feelings through journaling, painting, or talking to others if you need help.

5. Keep yourself entertained
Keeping yourself busy and entertained during COVID-19 is very important.
Listening to music, watching your favourite shows on Netflix, playing online puzzles.
Subscribing to YouTube tutorials and learning a new skill are some ideas you can try.
6. Stick to a Schedule.
Give what your doing your undivided attention a schedule your social media time or coffee breaks to stay productive especially when working from home.
Instead of taking a handful of tasks and cramming them all into an eight-hour day, come up with some realistic deadlines.
Practice concentration by turning off all distractions and committing your attention to a single task, start off with small timeframes, maybe 5 minutes per day.
If a task is taking longer than usual take a break from it and comeback to it more refreshed by moving onto the next task a hand to keep moving.
7.Quality Sleep to Stay Safe and Healthy
The general rule is at least 7 hours of quality unbroken sleep.

This is not the case for everybody it is worthwhile monitoring what works well for yourself and how you function on a certain amount of sleep.
They say that the amount of sleep we need depends on our age and in general adults should aim at least 7 hours per nights.
As we know this is not always the case as we live a 24 / 7 lifestyle and have a lot of shift workers so it is important for us to have a place where we can use as a sanctuary.
For good quality sleep and invest in a good mattress and block out curtains or blinds and fresh air.
